IMG journal is an interdisciplinary publication that explores the interconnections between the different fields of images, imagery, and imagination. The journal will be published every six months, with issues in autumn and spring, and each issue will be developed on a monographic theme. One out of four will contain the extended versions of the papers with the highest evaluations of the scientific committee during the presentations of the IMG conference, while the other three will be edited by issue curators who will propose an autonomous and monographic theme.
Each issue will also contain a composite section, in which to include articles that do not fall within the monographic theme to allow research that responds to the questions that the journal raises in general, to be published in a timely manner for scientific dissemination. The term composite refers both to its miscellaneous nature but, in the science of materials, a material composed of different components capable of transferring the best characteristics of the materials from which they come, forming, in fact, a better material. In other words, a perfect metaphor for our approach.
